I don’t want to seem one sided by always talking about self-esteem issues with women. Today, I decided it was the men’s turn. Men go through self-esteem issues just like women. Here is some professional advice from Giorgio Armani. He gives 21 great tips for achieving style, self-esteem and success.

He gives good advice, but it seems to target, more or less, the male population that is more on the refined or metrosexual side. Many guys I know would feel uncomfortable dressing the way he suggests and would not be confident in walking around in such style. Uncomfortable and not confident makes dressing in such a way not worth it.

I agree with a lot of what the writer says. He notes that through understanding and defining a sense of personal style, one gains self-esteem and confidence and thus achieves success in life. All three of these are important and dependant on one another. Though it may be read as an article pertaining to a specific demographic, the message is universally understandable. In order to succeed you must be able to offer something to others…and though you do not define yourself by what you wear….you present who you are, without saying a word, on you person. What you wear is an introduction into your personality and work/life ethic and he advices to “dress for success!” A confident man, in a nice and appropriate suit, gives the impression that he understands what is expected and is mature enough to handle any given task. On the other hand a man who is covered in mismatched designers, may appear to be trying TOO hard, and give the impression that gives little to no thought, and his main concern is impressing others rather achieving the main goal.
